Neighborhood Empowerment Network, (NEN) a collaboration of community and non-profit organizations, city agencies, and academic institutions, empowers neighborhoods to become cleaner, greener, healthier, and more inclusive places to live and work. They have partnered with CommunityGrows and our BEETS Program in 2008, and recently asked us to speak on a panel about Creating School and Community Gardens at the Craigslist Bootcamp at UC Berkeley this summer.
NEN invited a film crew, with interns from San Francisco State University, lead by Jessica Salgado, with Leo Macetol and Alex Collins, to visit Koshland Park this fall and interview Nora Brereton, our Programs Manager. This is the video they came up with… Enjoy!
