On Tuesday night, August 1, 2017 the community came out to celebrate National Night Out. It was a night for politicians, police officers and fire crews to come by and meet the community. 
CommunityGrows maned a table to show vegetables from the garden, pass out information about upcoming programs and opportunities, and offer fruit skewers with watermelon, grapes, peaches and blueberries. These offerings were a big hit with everyone, including Captain John Jaimerena and officer Scott McBride from Northern Police Station. 
Fireman M. Maloney, from Station 6 also came with his crew.
