The Band of Environmentally Educated and Employable Teens is a paid internship and hands-on learning experience in which youth gain job skills through learning about environmental justice and gardening with a small group of peers.
Serving youth of color and low income youth ages 14-19, the BEETs Program meets in the Western Addition and holds sessions both indoors in our classroom, and outdoors in our learning gardens. Youth are compensated with a pay increase available if they choose to return as a Leadership Crew member the following year.
Our 2024 Summer Cohort is currently taking place! Check back for our 2024-2025 application.
