Saying “Good-bye” to Nora

CommunityGrows threw a “Good-bye” party for Nora Brereton, our outgoing Director of Programs on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 4-6 PM in Koshland Garden. Many partners, youth, BEETS (Band of Environmentally Educated and Employable Teens), consultants, Advisory Board members, volunteers, family and friends came out for a great BBQ and potluck to honor Nora’s seven years of service.

Youth from Booker T. Washington Community Service Center and the Western Addition Beacon enjoyed hotdogs, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, watermelon, and lemonade. Great friends and partners including Alice Cravens from Ida B. Wells-Heat of the Kitchen, Sheryl Davis, Director of Mo’Magic/Collective Impact, and Chris Rosenberg, Principal of John Muir School came out to say “good-bye.”

Our new CommunityGrows Director of Programs, Kelly ErnstFriedman was on hand to meet everyone, and share her family, Jeff and son Emery.
