On Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2015 CommunityGrows hosted our 13th annual Wreath and Card Making event. Held at the Hayes Valley South Community Room, it attracted many residents, families and youth from the community.
The BEETS (Band of Environmentally Educated and Employable Teens) helped out getting everyone started with frames, boughs, and trinkets.
There was warm cider and munchies to share. Residents keep coming back every year to relax, enjoy each others company and let their creative juices flow. We were also honored to have Devi Zinzuvadia from Mo’Magic help with the card-making table where lots of beautiful creations were made.
A highlight of the afternoon was the arrival of London Breed, our District 5 Supervisor and President of the Board of Supervisors.
We were so glad to share our creations with her. Everyone did an amazing job, and the wreaths and cards were spectacular!
