Cloudy skies did not deter the hundreds of youth who came out for fun on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Hayward Recreation Center’s Carnival in San Francisco. Amidst the games, music, basketball, face-painting and food, our BEETS (Band of Environmentally Educated and Employable Teens) joined the crowd hosting a table to offer seed plantings and garden wisdom.
