CommunityGrows is very fortunate to have the support of the Redwood Trust Employee Foundation, a branch of the Marin Community Foundation, and the Starbucks Foundation. On Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 both groups brought out employees to work with the BEETS (Band of Environmentally Educated and Employable Teens) and community gardeners in Koshland Garden. We painted garden signs, turned compost, gleaned green debris, and prepared the rock garden outside the yellow picket fence for succulents. The BEETS also offered garden tours, and we had a visit from neighborhood resident and tree arborist, Sean Haskett, to assess our fruit trees. CommunityGrows cannot thank these employees and their foundations enough! Without them we would not be able to offer the great programs that we do. Thank you Redwood Trust and Starbucks!
